Community Outreach

In addition to providing scene support for First Responders, FSR participates in various community outreach programs and hosts several events throughout the year. Below are some of our recent & continuous events.

FSR will attend school events upon request. Recently, FSR attended Career Day at Encino Commons Elementary. We gave students a tour of the bus and explained the importance of the FSR Mission.  

FSR will attend community events hosted by or for the benefit of first responders. In 2021, FSR provided 2 portable restrooms as well as an air-conditioned bus, water, and Gatorade for the 9/11 Tug the Truck event hosted in Boerne, TX. 

FSR will attend events throughout the community based on the availability of personnel and resources. In 2021, FSR attended a Trunk-or-Treat event at Timber Ridge Apartments. FSR provided a "Haunted Bus" experience, Pikachu & Olaf appearances, and handed out candy.

FSR decorates our Station and hands out candy every Halloween. Our trick-or-treat event has become so popular, families will travel by car to bring their kids.

In December 2021, FSR hosted our 2nd Annual Santa Run Parade. This two-night event happened in our Station's neighboring communities. FSR has several groups, businesses, and agencies that participate with us. See the video below, courtesy of Martin Olivares of SkyNewsSA.
